Create invoices and manage your accounts in ChatGPT
You already ask ChatGPT for everything else. Connect Lazybooks and it can raise invoices, check what's unpaid and keep your expenses up to date in proper invoicing software, not a spreadsheet it made up.

Why connect ChatGPT to invoicing software?
Ask ChatGPT for an invoice on its own and you get a nicely formatted block of text. Then you copy it somewhere, number it, keep track of whether it was paid, and do it all again next week. It doesn't remember, and it can't chase anyone.
Connected to Lazybooks, the same request creates a real invoice in your account. It's numbered, totalled, tied to the client and tracked until it's paid. Next week, ChatGPT can tell you whether it was.
The same goes for your accounts. Instead of pasting figures into a chat and hoping, ChatGPT reads your income, expenses and outstanding invoices directly, so questions like "am I up on last quarter?" get a real answer.
What ChatGPT can do with Lazybooks
Invoices that end up somewhere real
Every invoice and quote ChatGPT makes is saved in your Lazybooks account with numbering, totals and your branding, so nothing disappears when the chat ends.
Your accounts, in plain English
Ask what you earned last quarter, which client brings in the most or what's overdue. ChatGPT answers from the figures in Lazybooks.
Expenses without the admin
Tell ChatGPT what you spent and where. It files the expense in Lazybooks so your records stay ready for your accountant or tax return.
Chasing made simple
Ask which invoices are late and by how long, then decide who to nudge. ChatGPT can mark invoices paid once the money's in.
Client details, remembered
Add a new client by describing them. Next time you invoice them, ChatGPT already has the details.
Ready for tax time
Ask for your income and spending by month or by folder, so the numbers for your return or your accountant are a question away.

You stay in control of your books
Look-only or hands-on
Pick Read only and the AI can answer questions but can't change a thing. Pick Full access when you want it to create and record for you.
Only the businesses you pick
Run more than one business? Tick the ones the AI may use. The rest stay invisible to it.
Nothing goes to your clients
Invoices and quotes are saved as drafts. You decide when they're sent, from Lazybooks.
Mistakes are easy to reverse
Every change the AI makes is logged. Ask it to undo, or edit and delete in Lazybooks as usual.
No passwords handed over
You sign in on Lazybooks' own page. The AI gets a key you can switch off at any time from Connected apps.
No money moves
The AI keeps records: invoices, income, expenses. It can't pay anyone or take payments.
ChatGPT and Lazybooks: questions
Is there a Lazybooks app in the ChatGPT store?
Not yet. You add Lazybooks as a custom MCP connector, which takes about a minute with the connector URL.
Can ChatGPT replace my accounting software?
ChatGPT is the conversation; Lazybooks is where the invoices, payments and expenses are kept. Connected, you get both: talk to ChatGPT, and the records stay in Lazybooks.
Can ChatGPT change things without asking?
Only if you choose Full access. With Read only it can look but never change anything, and every change it does make can be undone.
Does it work on the ChatGPT phone app?
Once connected on the web, the connection is available wherever your ChatGPT plan supports custom apps.
What is an MCP connector?
MCP is an open standard that lets AI apps use other services safely. Lazybooks runs an MCP server, so ChatGPT can work with your books after you sign in and give permission.
Does it cost extra?
Not from Lazybooks beyond your normal plan, which starts with a 14-day free trial. Your ChatGPT plan applies as usual.
